Services exports climb up by 90% in FY22 against previous year New Delhi, Feb 11 (KNN) Exports of services sector has increased from Rs 5,09,558 crore in FY21 to Rs 5,98,043 crore in FY22, revealed the data shared by Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Anupriya Patel in reply to a parliament question on Friday. 

In the current financial year of 2022-23, the services sector upto December 2022 is Rs 5,55,380 crore. 



The minister said that Centre has formulated ‘Action Plan for Champion Sectors in Services’ to give focused attention to 12 identified Champion Services Sectors.

Financial support of Rs 5000 crore have been earmarked to support sectoral initiatives of the Nodal Ministries/Departments identified for these sectors, she informed.

The minister said that the government follows a multipronged strategy in order to promote trade in services.  (KNN Bureau)
